Every time I see John Boehner (Speaker of the US House of Representatives) on TV seems to be crying.
Without Clarence Clemons the E Street band has lost a big part of their sound. He was a modest superstar, but a superstar nonetheless. I have seen him play several times with Springsteen and also many times with the Dead. I think he was one of those rare people that just appealed to everyone. I would love to see the band go on and substitute Alto Reed or somebody else in his place.
Even Boehner was a Clarence fan. When Boehner learned about his death he broke into tears.
